“Let me get this straight, you have a Masters in Science, you’re a Certified Industrial Hygienist and you’re just teaching fitness?”
I am not going to lie, the first thought in my head started with an “F” and may or may not have ended in “you”. My second thought was to start rambling off all the things I do: No, I own my business. I empower women to take control of their lives, to implement daily self-care and SelfLove actions, and to learn to love themselves in body, mind and spirit. I have helped women come off their anxiety and depression medications (under medical supervision). I have helped women realize their true calling in life. I have helped women build their own business and start increasing their profits. I have helped women lose weight and become healthier. I have helped women learn the tools to change their mindset. I have, I have, I have……..
.......the entrepreneur's mindset.
You see, they saw that I used to work a regular, high-paying 9-5 job. I made over 6-figures, had 3 weeks vacation a year but they did not see that I was MISERABLE. Every time I was in a job, I could see how I could make the employees happier, the project more efficient, the business more profitable and the workplace safer. It’s not that I thought I was better and could do better, it’s that I wanted to serve at a higher level. I saw that people’s lives could be so much better and I knew if I could implement just a few of my ideas, they would see improvement, even if it did not impact myself. Factor in I was a full-time working mom not passionate about what I was doing and at some point there was going to be a change. There was a whole lot more in between this story and if you would like all the details please read them here.

Now just because you have the entrepreneurs mindset does not mean you have to quit your job and start your own business; that was a choice I made. If you do choose this route, do not take it lightly. There is no magic silver bullet or instant millionaire status and your mindset is everything.
However, I digress.
I don’t have to qualify or defend my choice and neither do you. I know what I am doing and I see the big picture. Is it easy? HECK NO! I doubt myself, worry about finances and wonder if I have the stuff to make it (and any entrepreneur does or has). The difference is the mindset and the “knowing”. Knowing that persistence is key, that coming from a place of serving others lights you up and having the feeling of wealth no matter where you are in your journey.
"coming from a place of serving others lights you up"
And there is the true entrepreneur mindset: regardless of the dollars in your bank account you are wealthy when what you are doing lights you up and makes you jump out of bed. Your family is happy and you feel connected and pure love. When your spirit soars. When you make time in your day to take care of your body and mind. When you feel truly connected with eyes wide open and heart on fire. I want to state here that wanting to make more money can easily be a part of your entrepreneurial plan and there is nothing wrong with that; however, that is a whole other topic in itself and I will grab my holistic wealth expert to share her ideas on that in another post!
In the end, I didn't need to qaulify what I was doing so I quietly sent them love and compassion, shrug my shoulders and proudly stated “I have the entrepreneur’s mindset!”
